The Big Buddha In Cambodia
Fantastic. This is what I can express my feeling to this place.
This is a statue of Buddha in Koh Thom Commune in Kandal Province. It is a bit far from Phnom Penh. It becomes main attractions in Koh Thom Communce in Kandal.
I took a motor from my uncle’s house with my aunt. It is named ” Toul Preah Reachea Pagoda”. In this pagoda, it has 2 statues of buddhas with yellow bright color.
In this rural part of Kandal province, a 35-meter-high statue of a mustachioed Buddha towers incongruously above the surrounding fields of corn and rice. Some villagers told me that there are lots of people coming here when they have a big festival like Khmer New Year and Phcum Ben Festival.
Surround by field, it brings out fresh air to visitors. It is worth to visit here.
